Another year has come and gone, and with it thousands of frames, countless stories, and so many moments that remind me why I love this work. Photography, for me, is more than pausing time — it’s a process of cultivating connection, listening deeply, and collaborating to bring a client’s ideas and vision into a visual landscape that feels authentic, artful, and alive.

This season’s projects stretched across the Island and beyond. I photographed many of the Vineyard’s iconic landmarks for the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust, exploring the quiet details that define each space and the community that surrounds them.

The Sea Table was published with imagery that brought its stories to life on the page. Families, engagements, and a collection of intimate weddings filled the year with genuine, unscripted moments. Editorial collaborations with Bluedot, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, and other island publications continued to push narrative depth, and a feature in the New York Times Small Living column was a highlight of the year — offering a fresh lens on small-space living and community on Nantucket.

On a more personal note, this year also pulled me into new territory. I traveled through Indonesia, looking closely at the realities of eco-tourism and mass tourism, and later hiked the long ascent to Machu Picchu. These experiences helped reshape how I think about place, scale, and the stories landscapes hold.

And closer to home, I celebrated my son’s engagement and stepped into wedding planning from the opposite side of the industry—an unexpectedly fun reminder of what these celebrations mean beyond the frame.

As I look back on 2025, what I feel most is gratitude. To every client — new and returning — thank you for trusting me with your moments, your missions, and your dreams. And to every collaborator, editor, art director, nonprofit team, family, and couple who welcomed me into their world: your partnership is where the true magic happens.
