Architecture + Construction: South Mountain Company
On an old Chilmark farmstead off North Road that has an ancient farmhouse and one of the island’s three brick barns, the Owners asked South Mountain Company to design a tidy little year-round place that they could come to in the off-season. Last fall, while the leaves were falling from the surrounding trees, I photographed this orderly house and was intrigued by the high-quality craftsmanship and attention to the smallest detail that South Mountain is renowned for.
