Brooklyn Engagement

When Donna + Andres agreed to meet me under the Brooklyn Bridge at 6:30am on a Saturday morning in April, I knew we were meant for each other. They hired me a few months prior to photograph their wedding in August on Martha’s Vineyard. I had to cancel their on-island engagement session due to high winds and foul weather but offered to travel to THEIR neighborhood for the photo shoot – and they were game.

It couldn’t have been a more perfect day. It was a crystal clear morning with the first of the suns rays reflecting on the East River and then bouncing across Manhattans skyline. There was a slight chill in the air but the wind was silent. I was like a kid in a candy store with a plethora of different backdrops and textures to choose from. Andres pointed out a spot where you can see the Empire State Building in the distance centered between the arches of the Bridge. It was such great fun capturing Donna + Andres enjoying each other, holding hands during an early morning stroll around and over the Brooklyn Bridge.

… it was great hanging with you both, thanks for the coffee and I can’t wait to document your celebration on the western most point of Martha’s Vineyard this summer.

Staci & Andrew

Staci + Andrew flew to the Vineyard last week from Florida to prepare for their June nuptials. It was an unusually warm March day and we were able to take our time, go the beach, play and get some great pictures. Engagement sessions allow all of us to get to know each other before the big day. I’m so looking forward to your June celebration.

Emily and Ryan Engaged

Emily and Ryan’s moments as a couple before they say “I do” were captured in Edgartown near the sandy shores and lighthouse. Engagement sessions are the best way to get use to being in front of the camera before your big day. Couples always feel more comfortable at their wedding if they have had the experience of a photo shoot before hand.

Romance in Edgartown – Andrea + Julian

Venue: Harborview Hotel
Flowers: Dandeneau Flowers
Cake: Cake by Liz

It was one of those memorable October days on the Vineyard. A crimson sun intermixed with a cerulean sky topped off with a bit more than a gentle wind from the north. Andrea and Julian’s heartfelt ceremony flowed into yummy hor douves that rolled into a rocking dance reception. Kind, caring, sweet, sensitive and so in love = Andrea and Julian. It was such a delight to be capturing that vibe with camera in hand and it is so super obvious in every picture captured. It was a pleasure and so much fun being apart of your celebration. Thank you again…… and WOW do your friends know how to party and shake it on the dance floor.
